True Life: I'm a BEGINNER blogger

This is just my third post, so what better time to introduce myself.  I've tried blogging in the past, but failed miserably.  I probably only posted ten times in a year.  Not a very good start.  This is my "second chance" blog.  I like to think I will focus on fashion, beauty, and shopping.  I am an attorney by day.  Not much room for fun fashion and creativity in my profession.  So, I created this outlet to post my obsessions and interests.  I have been chosen to guest blog for Nosey Parker.  In that role, I shop local boutiques in my area (Oklahoma City) and then post about fabulous items that are on trend and fashion forward in order to promote shopping locally.  .

Hair Tutorials

Joanna Goddard from A Cup of Jo has posted some great fun hair styles with corresponding tutorials.  I have a pretty boring hair routine.  I almost aways simply shampoo, blowdry, and straighten my shoulder length hair.  I would love to get a little more adventuresome and mix it up a little bit.  I tired some of these styles recently, but I have found that my hair isn't quite long/thick enough to look right.

With the temps over 100 degrees for the last month, an fun updo would be great way to stay cool.  Unfortunately, a bun on my head is a sad, tiny little thing that looks more like a child's bun.  I will continue to search for an option for those of us with thinner hair.
